United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is:

to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ,

to develop a creative supportive fellowship,

and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The United Methodist Women of Batavia First UMC meet every THIRD THURSDAY of the month at 1pm in the church parlor.  Judy Humphrey and Cleo Mullins Co-Chair this ministry and invite you to join them!  Please contact the church office for more information 585-343-4708.

Ministry to children and young families is very important to us at Batavia First UMC.  The following is a list of some of our children and youth programs and activities:

• Sunday school:  Our children’s Sunday school classes take place every Sunday morning at 10:00am.  Our Sunday school classes are a fun and safe environment where children ages 2 – 12 can learn about God’s love for them.
• Nursery Care:  Our nursery is available for infants and children to age 2 and is supervised by church staff members.
• Kids for Christ Club:  “KFC” invites kids ages 8 – 12 to meet every third Sunday of the month following worship for lunch, fun and learning ways to spread Christian love in our community.
